We believes that the gifts of the Holy Spirit described in the Bible (Acts 2:1-4, 1 Corinthians 12:8-10) still exist today. (Theologically, we are Pentecostals, and we are affiliated to the Assemblies of God Great Britain.)

Therefore, we sometimes pray in tongues during the worship.  Speaking in tongues means singing or praying in a language one has never learned, when one is filled with the Holy Spirit. (Theologically, it is a miracle given as evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. See Acts 2:1-4.)

 

Sometimes someone in the group might speak a message in tongues for a few seconds, and immediately afterward, someone else might explain its meaning in Japanese or English.  This is God giving us encouragement and comfort through human speech, and is also called prophecy.

 

After the Bible message, we sometimes have a time for prophecy and healing.  Healing is when God miraculously heals illness through people laying hands on them and praying, so please do not hesitate to ask if you wish to receive healing.
